Smart, intelligent and confident Anarkali was crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2004 and she was chosen to take part in the Miss World beauty pageant held in China. Anarkali is Sri Lanka's leading actress, a TV personality, a columnist, a former public relations officer with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Anarkali's mother Indi Jayatilleke is a fashion designer. Her most successful film till date has been "Hiri Podda Wessa" (drizzle) acknowledged to be one of the biggest hits in Sri Lan ka in the recent past.
She has a weekly call in a show titled "Anarkalli Live" on a DeranaTV
